Paul Hindmarsh introduces a concert given last June in the Bridgewater Hall, Manchester, by the Chicago
Youth Symphony Orchestra. This is the orchestra's 50th season and their third British tour. During the interval, he goes backstage to find out from musical director Daniel Hege
and some of the players - including 13-year-old violinist Eunice Keem - what has made the orchestra one of the most successful in the United States.
