Tonight's programme brings local Christians together in the ruins to celebrate their
Easter faith. The cathedral's links with eastern Europe are reflected in words and music from the USSR, East Germany and Poland
. Alan Titchmarsh introduces this live celebration, which includes the hymns:
Thine Be the Glory (Maccabaeus); The Strife Is O'er (Gelobt sei Gott); The Day of Resurrection
(Ellacombe); the Hallelujah Chorus from Handel's Messiah.
