Lucie Skeaping's Early Music

on BBC Radio 2

The first of the second series gets off to an appropriate start with Henry Purcell's hymn to the Patron Saint of Music, Hail Bright Cecila, performed by the King's Consort. There is also some dance music and a madrigal from Italy, part of Handel's Water Music and Bach's Air on a G String, plus Vivaldi played on recorders by the Amsterdam Loeki Stardust Quartet.
