A series of five programmes about the realities of racial discrimination.
4: Just Words on Paper
Because they are both keen sportsmen, Geoff and Tim decide to try a number of recreational clubs: if they both get in, they can use the facilities ... but it doesn't turn out as simple as that. As the two journalists' stay in Bristol draws to an end, they talk to black Bristolians about what has happened to them, and find out how their own experiences compare with the everyday lives of black people in the city. Veteran civil rights campaigner Paul Stephenson tells them that in 25 years, despite all the new laws, little seems to have changed.
