He began to play guitar professionally In his early teens, writing and recording his first hit record 'Susie Q', with Dale Hawkins at the age of 15. He enjoyed long-term playing relationships with Rick Nelson and Elvis Presley, but has also registered notable performances with most of America's greatest recording artists.
