Rural Britain Today and Tomorrow

Professor J. A. Scott Watson (Professor of Rural Economy in the University of Oxford)
Professor Scott Watson comes to the microphone fresh from his journey through the country to give a faithful personal record of the changes he has detected in country life. He is mainly concerned with the way the land is being used, how farmers and workers are grappling with the bold schemes of national production and marketing, how country children arc being educated, and how the country is using the new toys - such as radio, the cinema, the grid, the motor-bus - that have been showered upon it of late years from the towns.
