Tommy Handley introduces a Grand 'Itma' Concert

on BBC Home Service Basic

View in Radio Times

Selection from the music specially composed and arranged for this series by Arthur Sandford, Clive Richardson, Henry Reed, and others, with Kay Cavendish and Paula Green. BBC Variety Orchestra, conducted by Charles Shadwell. Presented by Francis Worsley. (Special)
Amid all the delicious foolery of 'Itma' there were found each week some of the most brilliant orchestral arrangements to be heard on the air. This evening five of these will be heard-one by Henry Reed, and two each by Arthur Sandford and Clive Richardson. Tommy Handley will contribute from his repertoire of little comic songs-and don't forget the 'beauty queens sir, don't forget the beauty queens'!
