John Snagge's London

on BBC Radio London

The Royal Institution
In the second of two programmes JOHN SNAGGE visits the Royal Institution to talk to its director Professor Sir George Porter. This week they look at the laboratory in the basement where, in the 19th century, MICHAEL FARADAY carried out some of his most important experiments. It was here he proved that magnetism could produce electricity.
