The 1986 National Poetry
Competition, organised by the Poetry Society in association with Radio 3, reaches its conclusion tonight. The major prize-winners will be announced in this evening's programme, which brings together the judges Wendy Cope , John Fuller and Ken Smith - and some of the successful entrants. The winner of the £2,000 first prize will be introduced by Norman Willis , General Secretary of the TUC.
