Shah - Grabbing the Front Page Lead
In March Eddy Shah will launch Today, his new nationaVnewspaper offering many pages in full colour seven days a week. Today signals an extraordinary revolution in British newspapers' production, an overthrow of the traditional trade union practices.
The other proprietors are now frantically re-organising to follow Shah's lead and break out of the union's stranglehold on Fleet Street. Fred Emery goes behind the headlines with Eddy Shah for an exclusive preview of the new tabloid. He also talks to the men who own and run the national press and to the embattled print union leaders and asks: is Shah's Today Fleet Street's tomorrow? Producer PAUL WOOLWICH Editor DAVID DICKINSON
