Now in regular Tuesday and Thursday slots, BBCtv drama's newest family are trying to pick up the pieces after the discovery that head of the household James (Tony Doyle) has been having an affair.
He stormed out leaving his wife of more than 40 years (Anna Cropper) and the rest of the family in shock. Now meet "the other woman", Christine (Lynn Farleigh). Deserted by her husband, James offers her more than just comfort and support - something her children are not happy about.
