View in Radio Times

Written by F. Sladen-Smith.

Cast:

(The Huddersfield Thespians are shortly going to America to compete with this play in the David Belasco Cup Match.)

Mind Picture: The Scene is the top of a column near Antioch in the Early Fifth Century, to which Simeon had "retired from the world." The time is a late afternoon and evening when he is visited by a pilgrim, a king and his jester, a lady and her maid, and the devil and his friend. (In other words, he is tempted to leave the column by the world, the flesh and the devil).
