In tonight's revival of the Dark Lady of the Sonnets, which was broadcast in April, Lena Ashwell is again taking the part of Queen Elizabeth. She will be remembered by an older generation of playgoers as one of the greatest dramatic actresses the British stage has ever produced.
The part of Shakespeare is to be taken by one of the foremost of our younger actors who recently scored a big personal success as the lead in Satyr at the Shaftesbury. He has played a season at the Old Vic and is one of our few actors to have
.played a season in Paris, in the ' Compagnie des Quinze '.
