A Study of Unity in Diversity by William Rappard , Adolf Keller , Paul Ganz , and Sir Alfred Zimmern
1—' The Political Tradition '
William Rappard
Director of the Graduate Institute of International Studies
(From Geneva)
This is the first of a group of four talks all coming from Switzerland, in which distinguished Swiss broadcasters are going to tell listeners about this unique country. Switzerland has achieved unity through diversity. Four races are contained in its frontiers. It has three languages and two religions, yet there is no such thing as a discontented minority, and the country as a whole is a thriving example of contentment arrived at through understanding and intelligent co-operation.
William Rappard is one of Switzerland's leading political figures, and in his talk. he will outline the political circumstances that have made the Swiss people happy.
Further broadcasts will deal with the tradition of the churches and the tradition of Swiss culture. Sir Alfred Zimmern will sum up in the concluding talk.
