Appeal on behalf of the King George Hospital Fund by the Chairman of the London County Council (Lieut-Colonel
CECIL B. LEVITA)
THE Lord Mayor of London,
Sir Kynaston Studd , and the Chairman of the London County Council have united in an appeal to the charitable public to subscribe to the fund for providing a general hospital for the area known as Thames-side, lying to the East of London. There is practically no hospital accommodation in the district, which was open country until a few years ago, though it now has a population approaching half a million, mostly working-class.
