3: Following the violence and intimidation of the cashiers and dove sellers in the temple yesterday the authorities, lead by Joseph-Ben-Caiaphas the high priest, planned a showdown with the young Galilean. To arrest a popular folk hero in the temple with his followers everywhere was asking for trouble ... the wisest course was to ensure that this irresponsible young man tangled with the civil authorities.
When he returned to the temple the traps were set.
