Though a less highly-coloured figure than some of the other national patron Saints, St. David has a quiet charm which is all his own. For his countrymen his anniversary has always been a rallying point. The Cardiff Cymmrodorion Society are this year celebrating this in advance of the actual date-March 1. The guests are Mr. David Davies, of Llandinam, whose generosity of national and international enterprises is so well known, and Sir William Davies, who has just relinquished the Editorship of the Western Mail after many years of distinguished service.
