Sylvia McNair
American soprano Sylvia McNair spent a large part of her early career in Europe, where she established a reputation for excelling in the music of the 17th and 18th centuries, working with early music specialists like
Nikolaus Hamoncourt , Christopher Hogwood and John Eliot Gardiner.
She talks to Joan Bakewell about her love for early music, including works by Handel, Vivaldi and Purcell.
