One day in May 1913, 81 cadets, including the young Louis Battenberg , stood on the quay at Portsmouth Docks awaiting the arrival of the Admiralty launch which would take them across the Solent to Osborne Naval College.
Each year the surviving members of the 'Exmouth Term 1913' meet for an anniversary lunch at a Salisbury hotel.
