New series 1/4. Broadcasting veteran Desmond Carrington recalls the careers of entertainers who caught the public's attention with their distinctive style. The series gets under way with Pearl Carr and Teddy Johnson , who won fame in various solo ventures before recording popular duets of what became known as "Mr and Mrs music". The duo sang Britain's entry at the 1959 Eurovision Song Contest and in June celebrate 50 years as husband and wife. Producer Dave Aylott
