Children and Mathematics: 5: Teachers at the Centre

on BBC One London

What is there to prevent the new mathematics degenerating into a new orthodoxy? The teachers' centres now being set up all over the country provide an answer to the problem. In essence they are a place where teachers can meet to learn, to try out, to discuss, to evaluate, and to improve the new ideas.
