Mark Lamarr celebrates 40 years of the Broken Spoke, an Austin-area country dance hall whose roster of performers includes Bob Wills , Dolly Parton , George Strait , Willie Nelson , Hank Thompson , Tex Ritter and Kitty Wells. Lamarr discussses the venue's celebrated mythology with founder James White , and meets up with roots-based singer Dale Watson , Austin-based act the Derailers and Ray Benson (of Asleep at the Wheel).
