The Essay Prize by John Bowen
The Essay Prize was not such a Klittering reward-certainly not one to be compared with an Oxford scholarship, but Peter Raymond had set his mind on winning it. When one of the competition judges also happens to be his schoolmaster-father and impartiality is tinged with envy, the decision may provoke consequences out of all proportion to its importance.
