The Tempest
The eagerly awaited premiere of the new Shakespeare opera by the brilliant young composer Thomas Ades to a libretto by Meredith Oakes , live from the Royal Opera House. The composer conducts a cast of top British singers led by Simon Keenlyside and joined by American coloratura soprano Cyndia Sieden making her Covent Garden debut. Introduced by Stephanie Hughes in conversation with the participants.
