The supermarkets are going green. They have taken full-page advertisements in the press to say so. Ian Breach asks, 'How green is your grocer?', especially when it comes to food. He discovers that the major retail chains have hardly been in a hurry. Producers of organically grown fruit, vegetables and meat have been knocking on supermarket doors for years, with little success - until very recently.
