That much money was considered a good wage sixty years ago. Take food alone-you could get a dinner of roast beef, Yorkshire pudding, cabbage, potatoes, and jam roly-poly for eight-pence. The fly in the ointment of course was the threat of sickness or unemployment. Mr. Willis looks back to son,e happy years in his life at the turn of the century.
