5/10. The Miami blue butterfly is one of the most endangered insects in North America. But not for long. At the University of Florida, scientists have been trying to bring the threatened species back from the brink of extinction and repopulating their natural habitat. Geoff Watts visits the Butterfly Rainforest at the university's Museum of Natural History and gets a close-up look at the Miami blue. He watches each stage as it is taken from egg to adult and freed into areas such as the Florida Everglades. Producer Beth Eastwood
