D-Day: 40 Years On

on BBC One London

HM The Queen at Arromanches
The climax of the British ceremonies comes live this evening from the small town of Arromanches, site of the remarkable Mulberry Harbour , the remains of which are still clearly visible 40 years later.
HM The Queen visits the scene again for a march past and to meet some of over 1,000 veterans, many of whom are returning for the first time to Normandy in very different circumstances.
