A recital given yesterday at London's Wigmore Hall.
Carole Cerasi (harpsichord)
Carole Cerasi has received much acclaim for her performances of Baroque keyboard music - in particular for her interpretation of the music of Elisabeth Jacquet de la Guerre. Of her debut CD recording the musicologist and critic Stanley Sadie wrote: "Carole Cerasi... knows where in the passionate pieces to press forward and where to linger, how to let the rhythms flow in the dances... how to shape the extended chaconnes and how to make the most of Jacquet's impressive harmony. Her crisp fingerwork brings real glitter to the proliferating ornaments."
