10-Buying a Pair of Shoes
Basil and Dorothy Street learn something about the Perfect Tense, something about the Spanish fondness for exclamations, something about shoe sizes, and a little about a modern poet. The lesson begins with George sorting out the Perfect Tense in his Hampstead study, and ends with Dorothy sorting out her perfect shoe in a Madrid general store.
