John Stapleton and Ray Moore introduce 26 of the most beautiful girls from England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, as they compete for the title of Miss United Kingdom 1977
With the emphasis this year on ' Beauty with a Purpose ', each girl will parade first in swimsuit then in formal gowns before a panel of celebrities. They will be assessed on beauty, personality and figure for a first prize of £7,500, plus automatic entry to the Miss World contest. During her reign, she will also be responsible for raising money to help disabled children.
