Running Rings Round Arthur Anne Brown investigates the mystery of crop circles - weird phenomena which appear each summer in Wessex, not to mention in Italy, Japan and Brazil. She meets farmers and scientists with 101 different explanations. At one end of the spectrum the cause is put down to meteorological upheavals, at the other to hoaxers egged on by the press and an excess of real ale. In between are some serious theories and some very baffled investigators.
