The first Lambeth Conference was held in 1867. This year, for three weeks, archbishops and bishops of the Anglican Communion throughout the world meet to confer about the ministry of bishops in ' Today's Church amd Today's World '. Convenor and President of the Conference is this morning's preacher, The Archbishop of Canterbury.
