London's Buskers' Own Show
(St. Martin's Lane Edition)
Written and devised by B. Martin
Marks
Compere, Charles Laughton
Many listeners will remember the last broadcast of Kerbside Cabaret at the end of October last year, when Charles Laughton brought to the microphone a number of the street entertainers, or buskers as they are called, whom he met in connection with his film St. Martin's Lane.
It is generally agreed that this broadcast array of kerbside talent was an outstanding success, so tonight Laughton is again bringing to the microphone some of these delightful characters from the London streets. As before, he will introduce them separately and tell little stories about them.
For some ten minutes of the programme Charles Laughton will give an extract or two from St. Martin's
Lane.
