Twentieth-century Berkshire zapped 700 years back in time when Newbury restaged their famous 12th-century siege. A cast of 450 built a castle and a complete medieval village, to say nothing of thousands of costumes and props. Even the local goats, cows and horses were roped in! Janet reports from behind the scenes and lands herself a part in the pageant.
