' I expect some of you may remember Loopy. He's the young man who twice jolly nearly wrecked Rag Doll when he came sailing with us, but in spite of his habit of meaning well and doing badly, we all like him very much indeed. Well, it was some time since we'd seen him-when suddenly he turned up at Mill Creek. Uncle George had gone off for the day on one of his visits to various boatyards, in search of the new boat he was going to' buy when Rag DoU had been sold, and we were having our usual discussion about what to do with ourselves while he was away ...'
