The
Westeys Charles (1757-1834), Samuel (1766-1837) and Samuel Sebastian (1810-1876) were the descendants of the hymn-writer, The Rev Charles Wesley , whose brother John was the founder of Methodism. All achieved considerable distinction in their lifetime as musicians, though little except their church music is now performed.
