New series 1/3. Pet Shop Boy singer, songwriter and composer Neil Tennant recalls the prolific musical career of actor, playwright and composer Noël
Coward (1899-1973), whose works, like Tennant's, are marked by wit, yearning and a certain Englishness. Tennant reveals the impressive range in Coward's songwriting - from Someday I'll Find You (1930) to Mad Dogs and Englishmen (1931) - and explores his great legacy, as manifested in his own songs such as Being Boring and in cover versions of Coward's hits by modern acts such as Dillie Keane (of Fascinating Aida) and Neil Hannon (of the Divine Comedy). Producer Richard Bannerman
