Jazz on 3: Bill Frisell and the Willies

on BBC Radio 3

Jez Nelson presents a concert given at the Barbican earlier this month by American guitarist Bill Frisell. Noted for his ability to create bizarre sounds laced with humour, he probes the boundaries between jazz, blues and country with his current touring band, the Willies - Keith Lowe (bass), Chris Leighton (drums), Danny Barnes (banjo) and Eyvind Kang (violin).
