Part-Time Heroes

on BBC One London

Written by Duncan Ross.
A second chance to see this documentary film about the Royal National Life-boat Institution.

No other country in the world has such an effective organisation for the saving of life at sea as Britain with the Royal National Life-boat Institution. To show something of the scope and methods of the life-boat service this film reconstructs two actual incidents-the rescue of three fishermen off the coast of North Wales and a fire on board a coastal ship.
