At St. Andrews
An Eye-Witness account by Bernard Darwin
S.B. from Dundee
The Open Championship is the most important golf meeting that takes place in these islands.
This year the Championship is being played on the historic St. Andrews course. Today the final rounds are played, and Mr. Bernard Darwin, the famous amateur golfer, and now the leading expert on the game, will broadcast an account of the event. A running commentary is, of course, out of the question, but Mr. Darwin will, from the Students' Union building, which is close to the course, describe the morning's scores and the prospects for the afternoon: Then at 7.55 this evening he will describe the final stages, and announce the result.
