A profoundly deaf ten-year-old who relies on lip-reading is assessed to discover whether she is suitable to receive an implant which could introduce her to a new world of sound.
A nine-year-old boy has damaged his leg in an accident, but may have a more complex injury than was first believed, while a 12-year-old girl must have steroid injections to treat a flare-up in her arthritis, despite the risk to her heart.
