Wildlife on One: Meerkats United

on BBC One London

In the heart of the Kalahari Desert in Southern Africa, live gangs of meerkats - a kind of mongoose. Despite the hot, hostile landscape these little creatures have devised a way of coming out on top - by teamwork that Manchester United would be proud of. This is the tale of one of those teams. The formidable furry forward-line take on all comers - snakes, scorpions, jackals and, their number one adversary, another team of meerkats.
