Each year thousands of people are declared bankrupt. They may have brought it on themselves through bad management or carelessness. They may have been affected by business pressures beyond their control. They may have been devious. They may have been unlucky. For some, bankruptcy offers relief and a fresh start. For others, it can mean humiliation and anguish.
Bernard Falk talks to three fieople who went bankrupt earlier this year. He traces the events that led up to the bankruptcy and records the effects on the individuals involved.
He also examines the present bankruptcy laws ana considers their effectiveness and fairness. y Producer
