At 9.30am, 34,000 men and women take to the streets of London at the start of a 26-mile journey that will take the best around two and a quarter hours to complete. Last year's ADT Marathon was won by the Commonwealth Marathon champion Douglas Wakiihuri from Kenya, in 2.09.03, and the women's race by Veronique Marot of Great Britain in a British record time of 2.25.56.
More than 50 wheelchair competitors begin at 9.15am; there's a children's race and a wheelchair mini marathon; plus those who are running for charities or for fun.
