Composer Percy Grainger , who was born in Melbourne on 8 July 1882, produced a large number of original pieces and arrangements of traditional tunes, which he described as elastic - capable of being executed by four, or 40 or 400 players.'
This short film celebrates the Grainger centenary with a suitably ' elastic' performance, in an unusual setting: the forecourt of Paddington Station.
