Steve Catlin's reputation as a lady-killer makes him the prime suspect when his new bride dies mysteriously, or so one of his former wives, Edie, believes.
With nothing more than a hunch to go on, and the help of a detective from out-of-town, she struggles to find proof against the sweet-talking Steve before another death is discovered.
