A general knowledge contest in which listeners from all over the British Isles compete for the title "Brain of Britain, 1956".
The first three finalists who have emerged from the twenty-three eliminating contests and who compete this week in the first round of the finals are:

(representing the Midlands)
The programme includes:
"What Do You Want To Know?" in which "The Professor" answers interesting questions sent by listeners.
