Lome and Lawrence Blair , two young Englishmen, find themselves in the jungly swamps of western New i Guinea - living with the : Asmat. These are a people with a terrifying reputation - headhunters and cannibals.
But, fortunately, there seems to be a lull in the tribal feuding - time enough to teach the brothers a useful skill: how best to deflect enemy arrows. But, after two months, the unexpected anger of the spirits turns the welcome sour.... The brothers make a hurried departure - for distant Bali, one of the most beautiful islands in the world.
