In November 1951 Arthur Langford, an ex-member of the BBC staff and now chief producer in the Nigerian Broadcasting Service, paid a visit to the Itu leper colony in Eastern Nigeria to record a Christmas message from the patterns. He describes the colony and some of the people he met there.
